2015-09-05 Version 0.4 has been released and is available for download.

One year ago today, Discord launched as a free Vo IP service with a single intention: dethrone the aging options that are still used today.

It wasn’t shy about it either—its tagline is literally “It’s time to ditch Skype and Team Speak.”—and it had the quality and usability to back that talk up.

I went a step back to Qt 5.4.1 (used by v0.5, very stable), because of some network problems with Qt 5.6.0. It is only a tiny fix for 64-bit systems and the error. It is now possible to stream with a custom resolution. It fixes a few minor bugs and introduces an online update-checker.

It is no longer compatible with previous versions and requires an update of servers aswell.

2015-05-27 Version 0.3 has been released and is available for download. 2015-05-14 The documentation about the server’s status page to monitor the running Video Server has been added.

2015-05-10 Version 0.2 has been released and is available for download.

Many games feature chat options that allows you to exchange messages with other players, but the text chat options are never ideal and all too often the in-game audio chat leaves a lot to be desired.

When a game's default communication options aren't doing it for you, one of the best online voice communications options for gaming is Team Speak.

It even allows for cross-platform chat between PC, Mac, and Linux.

As the server administrator of Team Speak, you have the right to create and delete user accounts, set different privileges for each one of them, ban any given user, or password protect the access to the server, just to mention a few.

Team Speak is a piece of software that comes in two separate applications, one to be used as a server and the other one as a client.
